Here is a innovative service from an old buddy of mine. Check it out, while focused at Pharma, it was some lessons to learn.

What's the time frame?
I wonder how long it will take for pharmacy to not only integrate things like this into practice, but to make it the norm. The explosion of smartphone use by "kids" makes texting a perfect alternative for appointment reminders, medication reminders, refill requests, etc. If we begin now, when will people start saying "I remember when..."; a year, two, five? I'm not sure, but the sooner we start, the sooner we can start trying to remember.

Pharmacies do not like this as a way to process claims. Either the patient has to write down the processing information which is many times transposed as there are too many numbers or they hve to hand thier phone to the pharmacist. Unfortunately while this is a nifty was to reach patients the practical application just is no good
